The thought of creating new meeting places between Shmuel and the viewer results in a search for a new format for contact. Unexpected places in which the viewer, as soon as they dare to “dive” into the experience, sees the distinction from a different perspective. An alternative reality. A bubble, in time and space, created to place us in front of a body and to know it from a different point of view.
The virtual reality is a format that creates intimacy. As soon as we enter it, for a moment everything around us disappears, including the technology itself. In there, exist only us and all that should happen in the moment. The virtual reality completely engulfs the space, and controlling what happens in that space depends on our actions as bodies. We are free to move, to bend down, to look in any direction we please and to touch with our hands. The phenomena are happening around us, and we are the ones deciding what the shell will look like.
This new format creates a meeting of two languages: that of the body which moves in space, exploring from its own distinctness, and that of the viewer, who is free to approach, to view, to touch and to reach as far as they want. That is also the reason why this experience, in this format, is paired with a dance piece – an introspective journey which offers a new point of view on the beauty hidden in diversity.
Admission to the show is free of charge and is conditional upon advance registration and presentation of a ticket to one of the festival events.
