“No Matter What” is a duet for two men and a wooden post resembling ‘Homa Umigdal’ towers, which begins with joint construction and ends in turbulence, fracture, and disintegration.
Clinging to each other, they find a way to keep moving despite the growing difficulty and accumulating fatigue. Through persistent and ongoing physical effort, which defines who they are and the relationship between them, they carve a path that includes both support and struggle, competitiveness and agreement, and above all, a deep and tenacious connection that binds them together, “no matter what." In body and spirit, they refuse to let go, holding onto a promise. Again, they place their palm on their chest, almost compassionate, almost giving up, almost... What we built stands between us. We continue, no matter what.
A look at the male body, its physical action, and the patterns of behavior driving it as a reflection of the local present and the forces shaping it.
